A. Data Collection and Usage Policy

As a web3 platform, we prioritize transparency, privacy, and decentralization. To provide you with secure and seamless services, we collect a minimal amount of data necessary for functionality and compliance.

Our Commitment to Privacy

1. Minimal Data Collection: We only collect what is absolutely necessary to provide our services.

2. Transparency: We clearly explain what we collect, why, and how we use it.

3. User Control: For non-essential data collection, we provide you the option to opt-in for additional features or benefits.

4. Anonymization: Wherever feasible, your data is anonymized or stored in a way that prevents personal identification.

5. Decentralization: We continuously explore decentralized technologies that align with web3 values and reduce reliance on centralized data collection.

By keeping data collection limited and transparent, we strive to provide a secure and privacy-first platform while enabling innovative use cases like locational bNames, crypto payments, IoT controls, and more.

Here’s what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle your data responsibly:

1. Location Data

What we collect: City, region, country, latitude, longitude, and timezone, derived from your IP address.

Why we collect it: This helps us provide region-specific services, locational NFTs, enforce locational bNames, and comply with regulations.

How we protect it: We use approximate location data (e.g., city-level) where possible and avoid storing precise latitude/longitude unless essential.

2. Device Information

What we collect: Device type, operating system, and browser details.

Why we collect it: This data is used to optimize platform performance and ensure compatibility across devices. It also helps identify suspicious activity for security purposes.

How we protect it: Only basic details are collected and stored temporarily, with no unnecessary tracking of specific device models.

3. Network and Connection Details

What we collect: IP address, Internet Service Provider (ISP), and organization associated with your network.

Why we collect it: This information helps detect fraudulent activity, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure platform security.

How we protect it: Where feasible, data is anonymized or hashed to prevent personal identification.

4. Session Details

What we collect: User agent, referral URLs, and other session identifiers.

Why we collect it: These details are used to maintain your session, improve user experience, and understand how users navigate to and within our platform.

How we protect it: Data is stored temporarily and anonymized wherever possible.

5. Fingerprint

What we collect: A unique identifier generated from a combination of the above data.

Why we collect it: Fingerprints enhance security by helping us identify and prevent abuse, such as account sharing or bot activity.

How we protect it: Fingerprints are hashed and used solely for internal security purposes.

B. Third party login systems

Our applications offer the option to log in using third party systems like Google, Telegram, Metamask, etc. When you choose to log in with these, we receive certain information from your account, as authorized by you during the login process. This data is collected solely to facilitate your login experience and improve your use of our services. We do not share this information with third parties, and it is securely stored in accordance with our privacy and security policies.

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

When you register for an account, we ask for your name, email address, Telegram details, Discord details, etc.

To complete your KYC (Know Your Customer) check, we may ask for a scanned copy of a document containing your name, photo, and address. This could be your driver's license / national identity card / passport, etc. You can send this via email or by Telegram. Once we complete the KYC process, we will delete your scanned document.

C. Log Files

HYFI follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites or use digital services. All hosting companies do this and are part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movement on the website, and gather demographic information.

D. Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, HYFI uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on HYFI, which are sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Note that HYFI has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers' respective websites.

E. Third Party Privacy Policies

HYFI's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.
